Mandatory DOT Drug and Alcohol ReferralsOrganizational Resources
The DOT (Department of Transportation) requires companies employing individuals who perform certain safety sensitive duties under FMCSA, FAA, FRA, FTA, USCG, and RSPA to perform random, pre-employment, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and return to duty drug and alcohol test. Under CFR 49 Part 40, any individual who test positive for drugs and/or alcohol or has a violation of these rules must be referred to a qualified S.A.P. (Substance Abuse Professional) who will provide a comprehensive face-to-face assessment and clinical evaluation and recommend a course of treatment. Cascade provides S.A.P. services, consultations with employers, and policy review through our Organizational Development services. | |
